To some extent, I do agree with Hashiras not trusting any demon. After all, good or bad, demons have killed a lot of humans (maybe even those who were close to these Hashitas). That is why they have such major trust issues and grudge against the demons. But then again, you can't win a war fueled just by mind bending rage and vengeful feelings. You have to be smart and ready to adapt to new circumstances.

Great episode btw!!!!

Atom • 2 years ago

Feels good to read a sensible comment. I just want to say.

If you are hating on Hashiras without seeing the bigger picture and only reason that they are bad to our MC's then YOU ARE THE SAME AS HASHIRAS.

Don't jump to hate someone without knowing completely about them.

Remember , Giyu's first instinct when he first saw Nezuko was to kill her.. He is just much more sensible than other Hashira's. People often need their own time , and always for someone's trust on other person is always dependent on their past experience. No one trusts everyone right away..

Hades Infernii • 11 months ago

Fully onboard with everything you say. It's easy to imagine that the Hashiras had difficult, heartbreaking circumstances of their own which can justify them being wary of demons and hating them.

I'm not even mad about their instinct to kill, that's understandable, despite us knowing it would have been wrong in this case. So, as far as I'm concerned, they're all redeemable... except the fuckhead Wind Hashira. He wasn't going for the kill. He was torturing, being cruel.

We've seen some of the demons' sad backstories and I'm with Tanjiro on that matter. We can feel sorry for them and hope they finally rest in peace, but we're not going to just forgive the shit they've done, because that's not justice. Well same for the fuckhead.

Whatever his circumstances may be, I may end up feeling sorry for what happened to him that made him what he is. But that's no reason to forgive him for being a cruel SOB. He does NOT get a pass just because he's human, one of "us", ingroup. Forgiving him isn't justice either.

Warrior of Sunlight • 5 months ago

Except the demons seem evil because the the rotten evil cells of Muzan have taken them over. It's not really their actions. There is nothing to forgive them for. All hatred should be directed towards Muzan.

Warrior of Sunlight • 5 months ago

Not trusting someone is different from deciding to kill someone immediately, without listening at all...

Porthya • 1 year ago

They're all quite sensible, it's just that Giyu's first encounter with the siblings allowed the Kamado's more freedom in proving his original prejudice wrong. Neither of the 2 was physically restrained, and his attack spurred both Tanjiro and Nezuko into taking turns protecting the other sibling, so Nezuko had the chance to prove her remaining humanity even at her lowest.
From a stranger demon slayer's perspective, it'd be almost the same thing as Kanao's chase of Nezuko in the woods(I suspect Kanao could've only explained that to Shinobu, if she had the time to give a report). Kanao is quite strong(she's physically stronger than her hashira master, so she can behead demons) and wields a breathing style herself, but orders or not, Nezuko's behaviour was never threatening enough to persuade Kanao to use any form of it, she was going for basic slashes(just like Giyu in episode 1) with hardly any strength invested, because Nezuko's cuteness and harmlessness were making her question/doubt the situation till the different orders arrived.

I understand the Hashira's reluctance and aggressiveness towards Nezuko even though she hasn't attacked a human but it's still cruel and hard to watch. Snd hehe, the way Tanjiro headbutts that white haired scarred face dude was so satisfying. πŸ‘Œ

Porthya • 1 year ago

Now this is a normal reaction XD. Yes, Sanemi should be punished for ignoring present circumstances(they were at the Master's house exactly because he wanted to be involved in the decision making over the Kamado's situation as well) and acting before thinking, but Tanjiro's headbutt was enough of a fair reaction...in fact, Sanemi would heal from that crack slower than Nezuko from the cuts, so there should be no complaints.

That bastard who stabbed Nezuko needs to suffer most of all the scum in this series.
No punishment will ever be enough. He is as bad as the monster who turns people into demons.

Iko Azuri • 2 years ago

Jesus christ bro...Shut the fuck up!!! How old are you? Isn't one comment enough for you? How many comments do you want to make on a single each episode? Stop being a childish "Karen"!!! If all characters you want is the "good guy" then watch something else like a cartoons made for kindergarten or something where there won't be a "bad guy" or "villains" and i think that suits you more!!! Its just an Anime for fuck sake, just watch and enjoy the storyline...Those Hashira's not accepting the Nezuko is one of the plot that author made like any other Movies formula can't you just wait and watch???!! If you only want a "good guy" character go learn how to draw and made your own comic/manga for fuck sake!!! Jesus!!!

Warrior of Sunlight • 2 years ago

It looks like you are the one who shouldn't watch anime, because you don't seem to care about anything that happens in the anime, which makes it pointless.
It makes sense to be angry at that piece of shit for hurting Nezuko like that. It doesn't make sense to complain about people getting angry for a good reason. There is no age at which you should just stop reacting to things you are supposed to react to.
So you are the one who needs to shut the fuck up and stop being a moron.

dzonax3 • 2 years ago

Nezuko is trash anyways. Sanemi, as well as every other hashira has a damn backstory to backup thier actions in this episodes, they all have thier damn reasons to hate demons. Also Sanemi turns out to be a pretty decent character in the manga

Warrior of Sunlight • 2 years ago

I hate the person who is deleting my comments and thus supporting these offensive comments about Nezuko. Cowards and scum.

ANIMANIAC • 2 years ago

Absolute scums

Hades Infernii • 11 months ago

Brother, dude above is very much overreacting, but if you still hold the same opinion as what you wrote here, you are criminally insane, a bona fide psychopath.

Whether Nezuko is trash or not, it makes absolutely zero difference. So far, she is an innocent. Sanemi was cruelly torturing an innocent. And by the time of his second bout of torture, he KNEW she was an innocent. Yes, he believed she'd eventually cave in and kill, but at that point, she was an innocent. And instead of even attempting to come to terms with that, he chose violence.

Even then, had he gone for the kill, I'd have been more understanding, but that was not his intention. Before killing, he wanted to inflict pain. If you believe a demon will necessarily turn bad, kill it. But knowing it had done no harm yet, at least do it fast and painlessly. He went for pain and torture. No amount of sob story background could or should make up for that.

He doesn't deserve to die, but he DOES deserve some severe punishment. The only reason you're backing him up is because he's one of the "good guys". He's human. Well, fuck that, in this episode, he was as bad as the demons, a steaming piece of shit. The only reason he doesn't deserve death is because his actions, as heinous as they may have been, did not have irreversible consequences.

Porthya • 1 year ago

I think saying that Nezuko is trash is an exaggeration, her personality was shown to be blocked away by her trauma(it's okay to not care about her and prefer/enjoy other characters, it's simply unfit to lower yourself to the basher's level, it goes against making a point); however, even after discovering the hashira's backstories(and most of them are as heartbreaking as Tanjiro's), and especially after it gets highlighted over and over again how all of them love and respect Oyakata-sama so very much, Sanemi's lack of self-control in this particular situation and most of the other hashira supporting his overreaction clash strongly with the claims and portrayals revealed later on. It's even more glaring when Mitsuri points out that they should maybe wait for the "host" of this particular meeting to assess the situation "together" and make a decision, again, "together". They're the highest ranking slayers so they have a say, but dismissing their overall leader's involvment till he's physically there doesn't make it look like they respect him.

Don't ignore your crimes.

Warrior of Sunlight • 2 years ago

Are you the one who think you have the right to remove my comments? You need to answer for your vile actions and repent. Flail your back until you feel bad about what you've done.

dzonax3 • 2 years ago

Tf are you saying

Warrior of Sunlight • 2 years ago

I am saying that it was evil to call Nezuko "trash". Why would anyone do that?

dzonax3 • 2 years ago

Because she's overrated for no reason

Warrior of Sunlight • 2 years ago

Wrong. People would say that because something is wrong with them. It's horrible and unforgivable. Stop justifying it.

dzonax3 • 2 years ago

Alright dude, im not gonna judge you, ur obviously wierd and i respect that.

Warrior of Sunlight • 2 years ago

I am weird but that has nothing to do with this...
I am not the one who can be judged here. You are the one who seems to feel no empathy.
That evil bastard was stabbing her multiple time, and your reaction was not that you want to kill the bastard, but to call Nezuko "trash".
And you don't see the problem with that at all. Something is wrong with you.

dzonax3 • 2 years ago

Considering that i read the manga i know what im saying, also look at the situation from thier perspective, they all hate demons cause they had a bad past because of them, and there never existed a good demon + they are demon slayers, so obviously they would want to kill the nezuko there, and they didnt really need to listen to tanjiro cause they probably think that Tanjiro is just delusional by protecting her, u dont just listen to a random stranger like that.
In the end its just a cartoon so who cares

Warrior of Sunlight • 2 years ago

But realistically, they know that all demons used to be humans, and that they are all victims of Muzan.
And yet they are stupid enough to blame and hate the demons even though one person is the one they should hate.
They have no reason to act the way they do. And they have no right to ignore someone and instantly wanting to execute someone without finding out the real truth.
They are scum. And again. You have absolutely no right to say terrible things about Nezuko.
And it shows your lack of empathy that you said terrible things about her when she had just been stabbed, by an evil bastard that should die.
You even decided to say good things about that same evil bastard. It's just so wrong and you can't seem to understand why.

dzonax3 • 2 years ago

I cant feel empathy for a drawn character, especially the one i dont like.
But i get your point so we should stop this discussion

Warrior of Sunlight • 2 years ago

If you "cant feel empathy for a drawn character", then I am not sure why you watch anime at all.
And I will never understand how you can dislike Nezuko and like that psychotic bastard.

dzonax3 • 2 years ago

Whats there to like about her, shes just a 14 year old demon girl that doesnt even speak and only makes annoying noises, looks pretty basic and has no personality + the fandom made me dislike her even more
